Viral Gedebage Toll Gate KM 149 Gone! This Is Jasa Marga's Response

JAKARTA - A number of netizens on social media highlighted the disappearance of the Gedebage Toll Gate (GT) located at KM 149 Padalarang-Cileunyi (Padaleunyi) Toll Road.

Warganet even complained about the traffic jams that occurred around the toll road.

Senior General Manager of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR), Widyatmiko Nursejati said, the disappearance of GT Gedebage was a continuation of the temporary closure of access to and from KM 149 due to damage to the bridge structure.

"During further investigations by related parties, Jasa Marga through Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad moved all toll equipment located at the location to further information," said Widyatmoko in his official statement, quoted Wednesday, January 31.

It is known that Jasa Marga as the manager of the Padaleunyi Toll Road is indeed closing access to GT Gedebage KM 149 since January 1, 2024.

The closure is in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of PUPR through instructions from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) on letter No. BM.07.02-P/905 dated December 29, 2023.

Thus, Jasa Marga will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of PUPR to continue to support the fulfillment of the operational feasibility of the Km 149 access road before being handed over by the Ministry of PUPR to Jasa Marga to be fully operational.

"Jasa Marga urges road users to always anticipate travel by ensuring that the physical and vehicle are in prime condition, the adequacy of electronic money balances," he said.

Previously, a number of X social media users complained a lot about Jasa Marga's operational restrictions on GT Gedebage. This is because the closure of access to and from KM 149 causes severe congestion.
