Closed 2023, BRI Investment Management Records 13 Percent Increase In Mutual Fund Management Funds

JAKARTA PT BRI Investment Management (BRI-MI) recorded an increase in mutual fund management (AUM) grew by 13 percent. Thus, the BRI-MI mutual fund AUM at the end of 2023 amounted to Rp30.56 trillion.

The ACTING President Director of BRI-MI, Ira Irmalia Sjam, said that the positive record cannot be separated from the trust of stakeholders in BRI-MI and the innovation of BRI-MI products that are tailored to the needs and risk profile of customers.

"BRI-MI will consistently continue to grow in 2023. This is reflected in the growth of AUM mutual funds by 13 percent and making BRI-MI the Top 5 Investment Manager at the end of 2023 with a market share of 6 percent," said Ira in a written statement, Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ira highlighted the mutual fund product of the Balanced Regular Income Fund (BRIF) as the superior BRI-MI product that contributed greatly to AUM growth in 2023. This is also supported by synergy with the parent company, namely Bank BRI.

"Synergy with Bank BRI is an important key in increasing our mutual fund AUM, especially through BRIF products. This can be seen from the achievement of AUM at the end of December 2023 of IDR 2.3 trillion, or a significant growth of 2124 percent compared to AUM December 2022, which was IDR 106.2 billion," said Ira.

The mutual fund product mixed with the Balanced Regular Income Fund (BRIF) was first launched on July 1, 2019 and has its own appeal, namely through a strategy to maximize the composition of investment in bond instruments.

Mutual Fund Products Danareksa Balanced Regular Income Fund (BRIF) have different characteristics from mutual mixed funds in general which allocate funds to various types of investment instruments, such as stocks, bonds, and money market instruments.

BRIF is very suitable as an investment diversification instrument, because it has a unique feature, namely providing dividends every month. With the potential for lower interest rates in 2024, investment in BRIF mutual funds, whose underlying assets include debt securities instruments, has the potential to provide optimal investment returns in the future, concluded Ira.
