WIKA Records New Contract Reaching IDR 29.1 Trillion Throughout 2023

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) noted that the value of the new contract (NKB) was IDR 29.1 trillion throughout 2023. From the achievement of the new contract, WIKA is still focused on working on the IKN mega project.

WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito (BW) said that Rp23 trillion or 80 percent of WIKA's new contract achievement in 2023 was obtained in the April-December period. This means that WIKA obtained the new contract when the company was undergoing a restructuring period.

"This is a positive sign for the company because stakeholders still place their trust in WIKA as a strategic partner for the construction of the country," Agung said in a written statement, quoted on Tuesday, January 23.

WIKA also recorded sales until the third quarter of 2023 of IDR 15.1 trillion or equivalent to 29.2 percent of the production capacity of the contracts that had been held.

"This achievement increased compared to the third quarter of 2022 of IDR 12.8 trillion or equivalent to 25.7 percent of the production capacity," he said.

Agung said this achievement could not be separated from the support of stakeholders, including banks for the sustainability of WIKA's business.

"The banking sector has shown support while still providing the company's guarantee needs as a requirement for tender participation, construction implementation to the maintenance stage," he said.

One of the projects included in the new contract achievement in 2023 is the construction of the IKN Wastewater Pipeline Network 1 and 3 Central Government Core Areas (KIPP).

The IPAL 1 and 3 KIPP IKN projects were achieved by WIKA-Hutama Karya (HK) KSO in November 2023 with a portion of IDR 239.5 billion or 55 percent of KSO.

He added that the construction of IPAL 1 and 3 KIPP IKN aims to provide domestic waste water piping network services as well as wastewater treatment infrastructure produced from urban activities at KIPP.

This 1 and 3 waste water piping network serves the Presidential Palace, the Judicial Plaza, the Coordinating Ministry Building, the ASN Flats, the Ministerial Position Tax House, the Vice Presidential Palace, the IKN Authority Building and the State Mosque.

According to Agung, this project also adds to the WIKA portfolio in building IKN as well as motivating WIKA to continue to optimize existing resources.

"So, the implementation of the project at IKN can be completed with good quality and at the right time," he concluded.
