After The Debate Of Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD Thanks Jokowi, What's Wrong?

JAKARTA - Candidate for Vice President number 3, Mahfud MD expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after completing the Vice Presidential Debate at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Sunday, January 21.

"Because this is the last debate for the vice president I want to thank Pak Jokowi," Mahfud said at a press conference, Sunday, January 21.

Mahfud said that the thank you was given because he had been entrusted by Jokowi to occupy the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia 4.5 years ago.

Setelah menduduki posisi tersbut Mahfud mengaku dirinya semakin mengetahui bahwa Presiden Jokowi sangat peduli terhadap kesejahteraan rakyat.

"I learned more and knew that he really cared about the welfare and kindness of the people," continued Mahfud.

In addition, he said, by occupying the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, he was also willing when appointed to accompany Ganjar Pranowo as Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2024 General Election.

He reasoned, if one day he and Ganjar were elected as President and Vice President, Mahfud would continue the policies and knowledge he got while serving as one of Jokowi's ministers.

"What I have obtained while serving as Jokowi's minister can be continued in my joint duties with Ganjar if he has become President because Ganjar and Jokowi are both presidents of the people," concluded Mahfud.
