Dhoho Gudang Garam Airport Will Operate In February 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) targets Dhoho Airport in Kediri, East Java, to operate in February 2024. Operating at this airport is ready, just waiting for the airline's readiness.

For your information, Bandar Dhoho in Kediri, East Java was built by PT Gudang Garam Tbk through a subsidiary of PT Surya Dhoho Investama (SDHI) with an investment of IDR 13 trillion. This project is also included in the National Strategic Project (PSN).

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Adita Irawati said that currently the process has been in the process of preparing airlines. Where currently, a number of airlines are coordinating with PT Angkasa Pura I as the operator of Dhoho Airport.

Even so, Adita ensured that there were no obstacles in the construction of the airport built by PT Gudang Garam Tbk through this subsidiary of PT Surya Dhoho Investama (SDHI),

"The airline is still preparing. If they want to open the route, there must be tariffs, routes and others. So the preparation is more there. If the airport is operationally ready," he said when met at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.

Adita also hopes that the preparation process will run smoothly. The Ministry of Transportation targets Dhoho Airport to operate in February 2024.

"We hope so (February). Once again, it depends on the readiness of the airline," he explained.

"We'll see later, the regulators will definitely want it to be optimal immediately. But again, if you want surgery, there must be airlines that can run there," he continued.

Previously, it was reported that PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) revealed that the airport project in Kediri, East Java will be ready for use in 2024.

"The airport can be conveyed that the construction will continue as planned. And it is estimated that it will be ready to use in 2024," said Gudang Garam Director and Corporate Secretary Heru Budiman at the Public Expose Live 2023, Thursday 30 November.

Heru said that the cost of developing the airport project would be an additional IDR 3 trillion.

Previously, in an information disclosure, PT Gudang Garam Tbk increased its capital to support the continuation of the Integrated Airport construction process in Kediri, East Java (Badara) which was built by the Company through PT Surya Dhoho Investama (SDHI), which is a controlled GGRM company.

Gudang Garam paid an additional capital of IDR 3 trillion to PT Surya Dhoho Investama (SDHI). So that the capital issued and paid up by SDHI, which was originally IDR 10 trillion, increased to IDR 13 trillion.
