Impact Of Oil Prices Drop, PNBP Oil And Gas Sector Drops To IDR 117 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Migas) recorded a realization of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of IDR 117 trillion throughout 2023 with details of PNBP oil of IDR 89.92 trillion and natural gas of IDR 27.07 trillion.

"The realization of the 2023 SDA Migas PNBP reached Rp. 117 trillion or 113 percent of the target of Rp. 103.6 trillion," said Director General (Dirjen) of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji at the 2023 Performance Achievement Press Conference and 2024 Work Plan of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, Tuesday, January 16.

Despite exceeding the set target, PNBP's achievement fell from the previous year which was recorded at IDR 148.70 trillion, with details of IDR 30.49 trillion from natural gas and IDR 118.20 trillion contributed by petroleum.

Regarding this decline, Tutuka explained this because PNBP participated in the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) or Indonesian crude oil price in 2023 which decreased compared to 2022.

It is known that the average ICP price from January to December 2023 was recorded at 78.43 US dollars per barrel, while the average ICP in 2022 was 97.03 US dollars per barrel.

"For PNBP, because this follows the ICP. What we need to pay attention to is that in 2023 it will decrease from 2022. But the contribution in 2023 is still higher than 2021. 117 percent and it exceeds the target of 13 percent of this year's target of 103," concluded Tutuka.
