The 2024 Election Is Confirmed Not To Disturb The Entry Of Investment Into IKN

JAKARTA - OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono emphasized that the implementation of the 2024 general election (Pemilu) will not interfere with the investment process to IKN Nusantara.

This was revealed by Agung in the online media briefing of OIKN on Tuesday, January 16.

"If we can see, yes, this is January (2024) less than a month before the democratic party, but the president is still laying the first stone (groundbreaking). So, it feels, really, it doesn't interfere (investing in IKN)," Agung answered VOI's question.

Agung said that the massive groundbreaking that had been carried out by OIKN together with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) indicated that the 2024 election did not reduce investor interest itself.

This, he said, was evident from the value of investment realization which had reached Rp41.4 trillion until 2023. The investment value consisted of three series of groundbreakings that had been carried out, starting from stage 1, 2, to stage 3.

"Today, we are preparing for tomorrow exactly 7 months before (the Indonesian Independence Day 2024) is carried out by the groundbreaking phase four. In accordance with our promise, 2024 is a year that we will indeed be getting faster, the more gaspol shows the capital city of the archipelago," he said.

He added that later President Jokowi will conduct groundbreaking of 10 projects at IKN, such as Pos Indonesia, Radio Broadcast Studio of the Republic of Indonesia (RRI), SUN Hub ( warehousing area), Jambuluwuk Hotel and Resort and Katadata Green (pilot project of reforestation).

Then, there are Nusantara Warehouse Park, IKN Authority Office, State Mosque by the Ministry of PUPR, Memorial Park by the Ministry of PUPR and the Office of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

"This is the menu we will face tomorrow. The details we will be able to see tomorrow, the president is there for a full day for these 10 points (groundbreaking) and hopefully everything will run smoothly," he added.
