Realization Of PNBP Lampaui Target, ESDM Targets Deposit Of IDR 227.3 Trillion To The State In 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported that the realization of non-tax state revenues (PNBP) for the ESDM sector in 2023 reached IDR 300.3 trillion.

This number increased 116 percent from the target set in early 2023 of IDR 259.2 trillion.

"We are grateful that the PNBP of the ESDM sector in 2023 can exceed the target, we have reached Rp300 trillion," Arifin said at a press conference on the Achievement of ESDM Sector Performance in 2023, at the Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

Arifin explained that the increase in mineral commodity prices, especially coal, which continued to climb at the end of the year, also boosted Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) in mineral and coal sub-sectors.

This can be seen from the achievement of the Minerba PNBP which contributed almost 58 percent or 173.0 trillion of the total PNBP in 2023.

"The Minerba sector is still making a big contribution during the past two years due to increased demand in the global market and also the rise in mineral commodity prices," continued Arifin.

Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the 2023 ESDM sector PNBP comes from various sources, including the Oil and Gas PNBP of IDR 117.0 trillion, or 39 percent of the total PNBP of the ESDM sector.

Then the Minerba PNBP amounted to IDR 173.0 trillion, or 58 percent of the total PNBP for the ESDM sector.

Then PNBP EBTKE amounting to Rp3.1 trillion, or 1 percent of the total PNBP for the ESDM sector, and other PNBPs amounting to Rp7.3 trillion, or 2 percent of the total PNBP for the ESDM sector.

Regarding the 2024 PNBP target, although the energy commodity price is more volatile than in 2023, Arifin is optimistic that the 2024 ESDM sector PNBP can achieve the target set at IDR 227.3 trillion.

To achieve this target, Arifin explained that his ministry will continue to strive to increase the production and sales of energy commodities, as well as increase the efficiency of PNBP management in the ESDM sector.

"We are trying to improve, but of course it is not burdensome for economic actors who encourage our economic growth," concluded Arifin.
