OIKN Chief Says Jokowi Will Lay The First Stone Phase Four Of IKN

PENAJAM PASER UTARA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono said President Joko Widodo is scheduled for January 2024 to return to laying the first stone to mark the start of a number of new physical construction stages four in the IKN area. "The laying of the first stone marks for the start of a number of new physical developments in the fourth phase of the IKN area by President Jokowi this month," Bambang said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.

The groundbreaking that President Jokowi will do in the Nusantara City area, he continued, includes projects to build government agency offices, botanical parks, three-star hotels and other supporting developments.

However, OIKN has not been able to confirm the date of the implementation of the fourth phase of the groundbreaking. The reason is, it is still waiting for the adjustment of President Jokowi's agenda for activities.

According to him, a number of developments in the capital area of Indonesia's new country not only use funds sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), but also involve investment funds from investors.

Investments that entered the city of Nusantara until early 2024, according to him, most of them were recorded as from domestic investors.

OIKN prioritizes building an ecosystem in the capital city of Indonesia's future country as a smart city to facilitate and make residents more comfortable living and living in the region.

"Although local investors, most of them have collaborated with international investors. The involvement of domestic and foreign investors is equally important to create an ecosystem as a smart city," he added.

OIKN achieved a total realization of investment request commitments of approximately Rp41.4 trillion during the first three series of stone laying, the start of new physical development in the city of Nusantara from phase one to stage three in 2023.

"OIKN targets investment in Indonesia's future capital from domestic and foreign investors by 2024, reaching approximately Rp. 100 trillion," said Bambang Susantono.
