JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bambang Suswantono said, since early 2024 there have been 7 mineral and coal mining companies that have paid royalties.

The royalty is in the form of an obligation to pay non-tax state revenues (PNBP).

"It's already (paid). Only Rp. 470 billion," Bambang told the media crew quoted on Saturday, January 6.

However, Bambang was reluctant to specify the names of the seven companies.

However, he ensured that the company was a major mining company in Indonesia.

Bambang also reminded mining companies that have not paid PNBP payments to immediately make payments so that the work plan and budget permit (RKAB) can be issued immediately.

"If it doesn't complete, RKAB doesn't come out," Bambang continued.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif also asked to immediately pay off the distribution of royalties and PNBP.

"The rules have to be like that. We ask that it be paid immediately, so that all requirements are met," said Arifin to the media when met at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Friday, January 5.

Regarding the sanctions that will be given to the company, Arifin said, the delay in deposits will have an impact on the company's activities when accessing the Mineral and Coal Information System between Ministries and Institutions (Simbara).

"Yes, the simbara traffic jam," added Arifin briefly.
