Help Handling Natural Disasters In Indonesia Throughout 2023, Ministry Of PUPR Builds This Infrastructure

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) took part in handling natural disasters that occurred in Indonesia throughout 2023.

One of them is by building infrastructure in the form of houses and bridges.

"During 2023 there will be many natural disasters in various regions in Indonesia. The Ministry of PUPR is also tasked with dealing with disasters that occur," said the official statement from the Ministry of PUPR as quoted from its official Instagram @kemenpupr, Wednesday, January 3.

First, there was an earthquake that occurred in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

This earthquake caused landslides and dozens of houses to be damaged.

Then, thousands of houses in 17 districts were damaged by the Seroja storm in Bima Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Furthermore, there are residents' houses in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), which were damaged by earthquakes, tsunamis, and liquefaction.

"Therefore, the Ministry of PUPR has built permanent housing (huntap) with simple healthy instant home technology (risha) for victims of natural disasters," added the PUPR statement.

In addition, the Ministry of PUPR also built the Kali Glidik II Bridge located in Lumajang Regency, East Java. This bridge was damaged by the cold lava flood that occurred in the area.

"Hopefully the handling of natural disasters carried out by the Ministry of PUPR will be useful," explained the PUPR statement.
