MANADO - Sangihe Islands Regency and Sitaro in North Sulawesi (Sulut) will have a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) built by PT PLN (Persero) Tahuna Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3).

"PLTS was built on Lipang Island with a capacity of 150 kWp, Laotan Island with 180 kWp, and in Sitaro Islands, Pahepa Island Village and Tatile with a capacity of 270 kWp," said General Manager of PLN North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo (UID Sulutenggo) Main Distribution Unit, Ari Dartomo, in Manado, Monday.

UP3 Tahuna manager Muhammad Taufik revealed that the construction of phase 2 PLTS in 8 islands is spread across the Sangihe Islands and Sitaro and is already in the survey stage and document preparation, PLN continues to coordinate with the Regional Government for the development of this project.
