HCML On Track Gas Production Throughout 2023

JAKARTA - Huty's Cooperation Contract Contract Contract Contract CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) was able to achieve satisfactory gas production achievements throughout 2023.

"At the beginning of production in 2017, HCML only produced from the BD Field and only supplied around 30 MMSCFD. Currently, the production of HCML gas sales peak is 250 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day) and is the largest in East Java and Central Java," said BD Production Manager HCML, Suryo Birowo, Monday, January 1.

He continued, the amount of gas production will continue to grow along with the development of new fields, in line with one of the HCML's visions to become the largest gas producer in East Java. "From the three HCML fields, namely the BD, 2M (MDA-MBH) field, and MAC, HCML has a production percentage of 30 percent of total gas production in the East Java region," said Suryo.

"However, the increase in production in operating activities must always prioritize HSE factors, because all efforts and achievements that have been achieved are meaningless if HSE is not guarded," said Didik when watching oil and gas lifting activities as well as stock monitoring (inventory stock) oil and gas at the end of 2023.

Didik also appreciated HCML's commitment to increase integrity and encourage HCML to be more "high profile" in campaigning for more massive and aggressive upstream oil and gas business activities in order to increase energy security for national interests.

"SKK Migas and HCML will continue to work professionally to control upstream oil and gas operations, which are currently the largest in East Java," said Didik.

HCML currently has 3 main fields that have produced, namely BD Field, 2M Field, and MAC Field. Field Production BD is supported by 3 main facilities, namely Offshore Wellhead Platform (WHP), Gas Metering Station (GMS) located in the city of Pasuruan, and Floating, Storage and Demolition Production facilities (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading, and Offloading/FPSO).

Field BD is the only HCML field that contains H2S and condensates.

FPSO Karapan Armada Sterling III is the only floating platform in Indonesia that has a Sulphur Recovery Unit facility. Based on data as of November 30, 2023, currently the BD field is capable of delivering gas sales of 110 MMSCFD with 6,000 barrels of condensate per day.
