Hotel Occupancy In Nusa Dua Bali During Christmas And New Year's Holidays Reaches 73 Percent

BALI - BUMN PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) noted that hotel occupancy or occupancy rates in the Nusa Dua area, Badung Regency, Bali, reached 73 percent during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

"The occupancy increased by 3.28 percent compared to the same period in 2022 which reached 70.68 percent," said General Manager of the Nusa Dua which is managed by ITDC I Gusti Ngurah Ardita in Badung Regency, Bali, Sunday.

He explained that the increase in the number of foreign guests staying in the luxury hotel area occurred from 22 December 2023 to January 2024.

His party estimates that the housing will still have the opportunity to grow again considering that there is still time before the Christmas and New Year 2024 holidays.

In terms of performance, Ardita explained that the occupancy rate in the 350 hectare area shows stability for two months before the close of 2023.

In November 2023, he continued, it was a quiet season for visits but the occupancy rate in the five-star hotel area showed a positive figure of 63 percent.

The positive performance, he continued, was supported by tourism activities for the segmentation of meetings and conferences (MICE) held in the area.

There were also international tourist visits of 61,624 people in November 2023 and visits to the Waterblow tourist destination in the region in November 2023 reached 3,807 people, an increase of 54 percent from the same period in 2022 to 2,472 people.

ITDC noted that throughout 2023, the occupancy of the elite region ranged from 60-80 percent with the highest occupancy achievements from July to September with occupancy reaching 84 percent.

This condition is driven by the frequency of tourist visits during the holiday season and the implementation of a number of national and international agendas.

Meanwhile, ITDC and a number of hotels offer attractive promotions to welcome Christmas and New Year 2024, including decoration festivals from Christmas lights and knick-knacks, to enliven the year-end moments.

The Nusa Dua area has a total of 5,485 rooms spread across 22 five-star hotels and luxury villas and has meeting room facilities that can accommodate around 21,000 delegates.

In addition to being known for residential guests staying and the area for conference tourism (MICE), the area also offers beach tourism attractions, water tourism, sports tourism, cultural arts attractions, shopping tourism, culinary to natural tourism for coral or waterblow breakers.
