IDX Records Market Cap Continues To Rise Towards The End Of 2023

JAKARTA - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) announced that the market capitalization value will continue to show an increase until Friday, December 22.

Based on IDX stock trading data during the period from December 18 to December 22, 2023, it was colored by an increase in market capitalization and the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI).

Meanwhile, this week's market capitalization increased by 0.97 percent to Rp11.65 trillion from Rp11.54 trillion in the previous week.

On the other hand, the highest level of stock market capitalization was previously at IDR 11.54 trillion which was recorded on December 22, 2023. Meanwhile, at the end of 2022, market capitalization only reached IDR 9.49 trillion.

Furthermore, the JCI this week closed up 0.65 percent to 7.237.519 from 7.190.988 at the close last week.

During this week, the average daily transaction value fell 15.76 percent to IDR 12.63 trillion from IDR 14.99 trillion a week ago.

In addition, the average daily transaction frequency of shares during the week decreased by 13.60 percent to 1,094,283 transactions from 1,266,561 transactions last week.

The decline also occurred in the average daily volume of stock transactions which changed by 15.90 percent over the week to 25.19 billion shares from 29.96 billion shares last week.

Then, in trading Friday, December 22, foreign investors recorded a net sale value of IDR 68.8 billion and throughout 2023 foreign investors had recorded a net selling value of IDR 9.06 trillion.
