Cak Imin Alludes To Tengkulak Making Food Prices Expensive: Even Though The People Are Already Working

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin said the soaring food prices for basic necessities in Indonesia occurred due to rampant tengkulak everywhere.

"Today chilies are expensive, eggs are expensive, rice is expensive, expensive goods, bad tengkulak, mafia is powerful and rampant everywhere," he said in a vice presidential debate quoted from the Indonesian KPU YouTube, Friday, December 22.

"Even though the people are already working, working, working. We have to close this," he continued.

On this occasion, Cak Imin also mentioned unemployment in the country.

He said, the current high unemployment rate must be cut off.

"The unemployment rate is already 8 million, 80 million won work, but in the informal sector, they did not get a definite income and even his wallet was confirmed to be thin. This is what we have to close," he said.
