Sad News, Former BRI President Director Suprajarto Dies In Singapore

JAKARTA - Sad news has returned from the world of banking in the country. One of the former President Directors of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) Suprajarto is reported to have died.

According to the news obtained, Suprajarto died on December 19, 2023 at 09.08 in Singapore and it is planned that the deceased will be taken to a funeral home in Yogyakarta and will be buried tomorrow morning, Wednesday, December 20 at the Imogiri Cemetery, Yogyakarta.

"Please forgive all the mistakes of the deceased. May his deeds of worship be accepted by Allah SWT. Amen Allahumma Amen," wrote the family's official statement, Tuesday, December 18.

For information, Suprajarto was born in Yogyakarta, on August 28, 1956.

The late Suprajarto left Alia Karenina's wife and two children and one grandson.

Suprajarto completed his undergraduate education at the National Development University "Veteran", Yogyakarta in the economic department and continued his master's education in Marketing Management at Padjadjaran University, Bandung. Subsequently completing his master's degree in Business Management at Padjadjaran University, Bandung.

The deceased was appointed as President Director of BRI in 2017 to replace Asmawi Syam whose term of office ended.

Prior to becoming President Director of BRI, Suprajarto served as Deputy President Director of PT BNI for the 2015-2017 period.

In addition, Suprajarto served as Director of Network and Service of BRI in 2007-2015.

Furthermore, Suprajarto was also projected to be the President Director of the State Savings Bank (BBTN).

However, he rejected the position and is currently Suprajarto serving as the Main Commissioner of Bank Jatim (BJTM).
