The nine routes that will operate include Kupang-Ende, Balikpapan-Pare-Pare, Makassar-Surabaya, Bitung-Sorong, Makassar-Bau-Bau, Batam-Belawan, Makassar-Bau-Bau, Ambon-Tual, and Jayapura-Biak.

Furthermore, Hendri said, the pattern of free homecoming this time is different from the free homecoming in previous years.

"The chosen route is more focused on Eastern Indonesia because many people in Eastern Indonesia will celebrate Christmas," he explained.

Hendri also said that there are several provisions and requirements that must be met by travelers before getting free homecoming.
