Collaboration Between DCI Indonesia And Salim Group, Inaugurate The First Tier IV Data Center In Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCI), a leading data center infrastructure service provider in Indonesia and Salim Group held an inauguration ceremony for the Edge Data Center Facility or edge data center E1, located in Central Ariobimo, South Jakarta.

Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Philipus Phiong - Senior Executive Salim Group, Axton Salim - Executive Director Salim Group, Toto Sugiri- President Director of DCI, JC Gani - Senior Advisor of DCI.

The inauguration ceremony of the E1 building is a tangible manifestation of the commitment and collaboration between DCI Indonesia and the Salim Group in providing edge data center services for industry players to support digital economic growth in Indonesia.

The E1 Data Center is part of the DCI Platform which has a power capacity of 18 MW and is equipped with around 4,000 racks in an 11-story structure and an area of 30,000 m2. The E1 building is the first Tier-IV data center in downtown Jakarta with the highest classification in the data center industry.

Toto Sugiri, President Director, PT DCI Indonesia Tbk stated that his party is proud to be able to continue to expand the DCI Platform through the completion of the E1 data center construction. The E1 data center is the data center which has the highest classification, namely Tier IV, first in downtown Jakarta.

"E1 will provide reliable infrastructure facilities, with low latency, and the highest operating standards in accordance with the Tier IV Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS), where DCI will be the first in Southeast Asia to receive this certification," Toto said in his statement, Monday 18 December.

With the inauguration of E1, DCI is committed to meeting market needs in terms of cloud services, capital markets, AI, IoT, 5G connectivity, and others. For this reason, the presence of the E1 data center can meet the demand for data center infrastructure that is close to users. Industry players can feel enormous benefits in terms of storage needs, processing with reliable operational quality and data exchange with low latency and high performance.

The strategic location of E1 close to IIX (Cyber 1), Open-IX (IDC Duren Tiga) and other exchange centers allows fast and efficient interconnection to increase network performance. The design of this data center also includes multiple and diverse fiber routes, ensuring reliable and redundant connectivity.

Also added that Axton Salim as Executive Director of the Salim Group was also present at the event. According to him, the E1 data center building became the realization of the cooperation between the two DCI and Salim Groups in strengthening the previously existing DCI Platforms in Cibitung and Karawang.

With the start of the operation of the E1 building on December 18, it not only strengthens the solutions offered by DCI but also demonstrates the company's commitment to expanding the scale of data center infrastructure services with the best operations.

With the operation of E1, the DCI Platform has 2 hyperscale data center campuses (in Cibitung and Karawang) and 1 edge data center, providing 3 locations in theverse to serve IT strategies comprehensively for those requiring DC/DRC as well as different availability zones. Through this achievement, DCI is committed to strengthening the data center infrastructure ecosystem in Indonesia.
