Starting Today, Argo Dwipangga Train Operates With Executive Train And Luxury New Generation

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) operates the Argo Dwipangga train for the Gambir-Solo Balapan pp relationship using the New Generation Executive Train and the Luxury New Generation Train, starting today.

The New Generation Train is part of the procurement of 612 units of the Stainless Steel New Generation train for the period 2023 to 2026 which was imported from PT INKA (Persero).

KAI's VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said the operation of the New Generation Executive Train and the Luxury New Generation Train is a form of improving KAI services to all customers for the Christmas and New Year holidays, especially Argo Dwipangga train customers.

"Furthermore, we will operate the New Generation Train for other trains in stages," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 13.

Joni revealed that the advantages of the Executive Train and Luxury New Generation include the entrance to the train and the connecting door between trains using an automatic electric door.

Furthermore, Joni said this would make it easier for customers to open or close the door without spending much energy. The sound of door-opening activities becomes quieter.

In addition, Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) available on each train can display information on the nearest station, speed, and room temperature. The PIDS helps create a better travel experience and provides important information for customers during travel.

The Executive Train Window and Luxury New Generation have also been upgraded to tempered double glass from previously tempered glass. So that the level of security is higher, helping to reduce the entry of excess heat and UV light into the room, as well as reducing better noise.

For the need to charge customer gadgets, KAI adds a USB charger port to each seat, next to a stop contact that is already available on the train wall. The addition of these charging facilities allows passengers to continue using their cellphones, laptops, and smart watch devices without worrying about running out of power, according to modern needs.

Joni also explained that the Vessel in the New Generation series was also updated to be more luxurious with premium interiors and furniture. The train is dominated by a touch of wood and a softer and softer dining chair. The same PIDS is also available on the Vessel.
