The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) said the creative industry sector has a steady performance with the realization of the added value of the creative industry which reached IDR 1.05 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, or has reached 82.1 percent of the 2023 target of IDR 1.28 trillion.

In addition, the export performance of the creative industry in the third quarter of 2023 recorded a value of 17.4 billion US dollars, supported by fashion sub-sectors that contributed up to 9.88 billion US dollars and craft sub-sectors which contributed 6.26 billion US dollars.

"This is a proud achievement and shows that the prospects for the creative industry in Indonesia are getting bigger," said Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry, Reni Yanita, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, December 12.

The Directorate General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) also plays an active role in providing development platforms for young people who are IKM players, especially those based on the creative sector through the Creative Business Incubator (CBI) program which is held at the Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC).

The CBI program itself is one of the efforts to foster creative IKM players, especially in the fields of fashion and craft, in developing their business so that they can advance to class.

"We hope that the guidance we provide through this program can inspire participants to use the knowledge that has been obtained, maintain information and communication networks between participants and resource persons, and become an economic driver in the community and become an example for fashion and craft industry players," he said.

Reni said that her party hopes that CBI participants who have gained knowledge and insight will also be able to share their experiences with other creative industry players who are both running a business.

In the 2023 class session, the CBI program was attended by 60 participants from 17 provinces and 47 regencies/cities.

"It is hoped that this distribution figure can increase because each region has its own potential and creativity that needs to be explored and promoted," said Reni.
