Skybridge Bojonggede Station And Terminal Liaison Starts Operation Today

JAKARTA - The Bojonggede Skybridge connecting the Bojonggede Commuter KRL station with the Bojonggede terminal is starting to operate today.

Access in and out of users from the south or from the direction of Jalan Raya Bojonggede will be closed.

KAI Commuter Corporate Secretary Anne Purba said the Bojonggede Skybridge is also an in and out access to the western side of Bojonggede Station from the direction of Bojonggede Terminal.

The operation of this skybridge is expected to reduce road congestion in the station area and become an easy and practical integration facility between modes. There is also an escalator as a facility at the Bojonggede Skybridge," Anne said in an official statement, Friday, December 8.

With the operation of this skybridge, continued Anne, the entry and exit of Commuter Line users from the south side or from the direction of Jl. Raya Bojonggede will be closed starting Friday, December 8, 2023 and all of them will be diverted using the Bojonggede Skybridge from the direction of the Bojonggede terminal.

"KAI Commuter appeals to all Commuter Line users at Manggarai Station and Bojonggede Station to pay attention to new entry and exit access at these stations and always listen to information and follow directions from officers at the station," he explained.

KAI Commuter hopes that the operation of the new Manggarai Station and Bojonggede Skybridge can improve safety, comfort and integration services between modes.

"KAI Commuter also urges all users to maintain available service facilities by not littering and carrying out vandalism," he said.

In facing the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year (Nataru) Transport period, KAI Commuter also continues to improve services to all its users.

One of them is collaborating with the Class I Jakarta Railway Engineering Center (BTP) of the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation and Operational Area 1 Jakarta in operating the east side building and the left side building of Manggarai Station starting Saturday, December 9.

"With the operation of new buildings on the east side and left building starting Saturday, December 9, 2023, all access in and out of Manggarai Station from the east side will go through this new building. Access in and out of the entrance which was previously on the east side of Manggarai Station will be closed for the next station construction process," he explained.

Anne said that the flow of users who will use the Commuter Line at Manggarai Station from the east side must first go up to the 1st floor of the station to get to the Commuter Line departure platform as it is currently in effect.

"Peron 6-7 and 8 to use the Commuter Line Cikarang. As for using the Commuter Line Bogor, it still uses 10-11 and 12-13 platforms," he said.

In the new east side building area and left wing, additional service facilities such as escalator and elevator as well as ticket sales counters have been prepared.

With a fairly wide area, KAI Commuter will operate as many as 9 electronic gates for the process of tap entry and tap out of Commuter Line users.
