Ministry Of Manpower Opens Job Fair In Ponorogo, There Are 3,069 Loker Loh!

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is collaborating with the Ponorogo Regency Government to hold the 2023 Ponorogo Job Fair. This event provides 3,069 job vacancies (loops).

Job Fair Ponorogo will take place at the Ponorogo City Center (PCC) starting today, Thursday 16 to 17 November 2023.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi, said that the 2023 Ponorogo Job Fair aims to bring together the supply (work seeker) and demand side (workers/companies) to be able to meet directly without intermediaries.

"The goal is for job seekers to get jobs that are in accordance with their talents, interests, abilities and competencies, and employers to get candidates that suit the needs of the Company," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, November 16.

Reduce Open Unemployment Rate

Anwar said this Job Fair is also intended to help companies get workers according to the company's needs offline or online, as well as reduce the open unemployment rate (TPT).

Anwar also revealed that so far there is still a discrepancy between the company's needs and the availability of labor according to the criteria.

"That's why we hope that with the Job Fair, we will find a place to find a common ground between the request and the availability of these workers," he said.

The 2023 Ponorogo Job Fair series will also launch 5,014 BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Gymnastics membership together with 1,000 Tobacco Farmers and Workers on November 17, 2023.

Meanwhile, Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko appreciated the collaboration between the Ministry of Manpower and the Ponorogo Regency Government in holding the Job Fair. Sugiri said this program would be very helpful in suppressing TPT in Ponorogo.

"Later there will be a live interview, which will be received immediately. Hopefully, all of the 3,000 vacancies will be filled today," he said.
