Surveyor Indonesia Explores Halal Certification Cooperation With Japan To Thailand

JAKARTA - PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI) is expanding its halal certification service abroad. Currently, PTSI is exploring cooperation in halal certification with Japan, South Korea, Thailand to Vietnam.

Head of the Indonesian Halal Surveyor Inspection Institute, Afrinal, said that in the near future, PTSI will fly to Japan to explore cooperation in halal commodity certification.

"In the near future to our Japan, there is one product name. Ears to make noodles are imported from Japan. The plan is for this month, or early next month," he said at the Graha Surveyor Indonesia, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 14.

Not only Japan, said Afrinal, PTSI has also explored certification cooperation to other countries, namely South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.

"Still in the exploration stage. In Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam," he explained.

Afrinal said that currently, new halal certification has been issued from one country, namely China. He said, there are 16 products whose halal certification has been published. While the rest are still in process.

"16 products have been (published certification). There are around 4. Those who want to walk want to be inspected, there are 7 audits this month and next month there will be 6. A total of 33 (products)," he said.

Furthermore, Afrinal said that the majority of products have received halal certification and those that are currently in the audit process are food and beverage products.
