Halle Berry Steals Attention At Fashion Show Elie Saab, Wears Dress When Winning The 2002 Oscar

JAKARTA - Halle Berry again stole the world's attention with her stunning appearance during a fashion show from the Elie Saab brand in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

The actress wore an iconic dress 22 years ago, an option made her look even more special and meaningful. This 58-year-old dress made her reminisce again.

Halle wore back a dress from Elie Saab that he wore when he won the 2002 Oscar, thanks to his acting in the film Monster's Ball (2001). At that moment, Halle became the first African-American woman to win an Oscar and won the main category, namely the Best Leading Actress.

In a fashion show titled '1001 seasones', Halle wore a stunning dress featuring a flower applique decorated mesh corset and a long drapery model skirt.

To complete his stunning appearance, Halle wore a pair of large gemstone earrings. Then, Halle's hair is arranged with a modern bun.

Through uploading his personal Instagram account, Halle shared a video when he was a catwalk model on the Elie Saab program. Halle was touched and recalled the incident 22 years ago when wearing the maroon red dress.

"There are several moments in life that just happen and change our lives forever! Winning the Academy Award in a dress @eliesaabworld is a moment for me!," he wrote, quoted by VOI from the Instagram account @eliesaabworld on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

"Thank you, Mr. Saab, for being a part of one of the moments of my life, because we have been closely connected for 22 years! It is an honor for me to celebrate the 1001 Season collection. Hopefully you will enjoy more brilliant, full of joy, creativity, and glamorous years," he continued.

Reporting from the People page, Halle revealed that the historic dress found a new home at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, where the dress represents a piece of Hollywood's world history.

Halle showed the historic dress in an exhibition.

Halle thanked the museum for the respect.

This was revealed through his personal Instagram upload in 2023.

"This historic @eliesaabworld sport will not only remain under the care of museum curators and conservators, but can also be seen by any generation. This dress has meaning and is forever a reminder that all this is happening. Thank you @academymuseum!" he wrote.

Apart from Halle Berry, the fashion show was also attended by world celebrities, including Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello, Nancy Ajram and Amr Diab.
