The Government Affirms Not Extending Pontjo Sutowo's HGB, Deputy Minister Of ATR/BPN Raja Juli: They Must Be Dada Supported

JAKARTA - The conflict in the management of the Sultan Hotel between PT Indobuildco owned by Pontjo Sutowo and the Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPKGBK), the Minister of State Secretariat, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR)/ Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) and the Central Jakarta City Administration Land Office are still continuing.

Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized that the government refused to extend and maintain the extension of the Sultan Hotel's Building Use Rights (HGB) to Pontjo Sutowo.

"What is clear is that ATR/BPN did not extend the HGB ( Sultan's Hotel), yes, it was finished," said Hadi when met at the Sheraton Hotel, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31.

Hadi explained that regarding the current condition where the Indobuildco, which still occupies the Sultan Hotel, will hand it over to law enforcement officials to follow up further.

Similarly, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni said that the government had won many times from Indobuildco over the lawsuit in court and asked Pontjo Sutowo to respect the legal process.

"So it seems that it is necessary to be humble from the other side that this is a state of law, the court has decided that the land is legally owned by the state, in this case the Ministry of State Secretariat," he said.

Juli said that the Sultan Hotel land is a state asset according to HPL No. 1/Gelora in 1989 on behalf of Kemensetneg c.q PPKGBK. So that PT Indobuildco is considered no longer entitled to occupy the land because HGB has run out in March-April 2023.

"From that side, I have also enjoyed from the existing land for a long time (50 years), from the economy in a productive manner, hotels and apartments. I urge you to obey legally," he said.

In the future, July said that his party would continue to coordinate with other parties involved to handle the case.
