Luhut Is Confirmed Not To Resign From The Position Of Coordinating Minister For Maritime Affairs And Fisheries

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has warned that he will not resign from his position as a minister in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

Luhut also emphasized that he will continue to support President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) until the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government term is over.

"I will never resign from Pak Jokowi. I will remain loyal to Pak Jokowi until the last moment he may not need me," Luhut wrote as quoted from the official Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Sunday, October 29.

In fact, Luhut likens Jokowi as a commander who should be supported for the benefit of the nation and state.

"I consider Pak Jokowi to be a commander who should be supported at all costs by anyone if he still has a character for this republic," he said.

Previously, it was rumored that Luhut had resigned from his position as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Luhut himself is currently recovering in Singapore. Some time ago, Luhut experienced extraordinary fatigue after work.

The news of Luhut's resignation has actually been denied by the Spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), Jodi Mahardi. He made sure the news circulating was not true.

"It's not true (the news)," said Jodi to VOI, in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 24.

Jodi also revealed Luhut's current health condition. He said, his condition was getting better than before.

"Pak Luhut is still being treated by a doctor in a very good condition compared to before. The current treatment is focused on physiquerapy," he said.
