LRT Bali Feasibility Study Will Be Completed By The End Of This Year

JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa revealed that the feasibility study (FS) related to the LRT Bali Integrated Rail Transit (LRT) project is targeted for completion later this year.

"It is being prepared (FS) hopefully by the end of this year it can be completed," said Suharso when met in Jakarta, Monday, October 23.

Suharso said, this LRT will be focused on access to the airport. Even so, people can still take advantage of it.

Furthermore, Suharso also explained that the price of Bali LRT tickets could potentially be unaffordable by the public.

However, with a note if the construction of this project is fully financed from a business scheme.

Therefore, continued Suharso, in the construction of the Bali LRT project, there will be several components funded by the state.

"For us at Bappenas, calculating that there is a share of public goods there, namely, if it can be financed by the state, by the government. If it is not (assisted by the state), the ticket price will not be affordable," he said.
