JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) recorded the realization of Indonesia's investment with positive results from July to September 2023 or the third quarter of 2023 of IDR 374.4 trillion.
This figure is higher than the second quarter of 2023 of IDR 374.4 trillion and the third quarter of 2022 of IDR 307.8 trillion.
As for July to September 2023, this realization reached 26.7 percent of the president's target in 2023 which reached IDR 1.400 trillion and 34 percent of the strategic target of IDR 1.099 trillion.
Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said, the third quarter is a crucial quarter that will determine whether the target in 2023 is achieved or not.
Bahlil said, as one of the requirements for economic growth above 5 percent, this target must be realized, even though global economic conditions have not fully recovered and there is a momentum for domestic elections.
"From July to September 2023, investment realization has reached Rp374.4 trillion," said Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia at a press conference, Friday, October 20.
Meanwhile, the details of foreign investment (PMA) reached Rp196.2 trillion (52.4 percent), grew 16.2 percent yoy and 5.3 percent qoq.
The rest is domestic investment (PMDN) of IDR 178.5 trillion (47.6 percent), growing 28.2 percent yoy and 7 percent qoq.
In terms of region, investment outside Java still dominates with 51 percent or IDR 190.9 trillion and the remaining Java 49 percent or IDR 183.5 trillion.
