Manages IDR 350 Trillion Of ASN Funds, Taspen Boss Guarantees Management Is Not Like Jiwasraya

JAKARTA - PT Dana Tabungan dan Asuransi Pegawai Negeri atau Taspen (Persero) memastikan pengelolaan dana asuransi Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) dilakukan dengan benar sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku. Adapun dana PNS yang dikelola nilai mencapai Rp350 triliun per Juni 2023.

For your information, Taspen currently serves more than 3 million active participants and 3 million retired participants throughout Indonesia.

Taspen President Director Antonius NS Kosasih revealed that his company has three main strategies in managing funds in the Company. First, Taspen has an investment special committee.

This strategy is implemented so that Taspen's fate does not end like PT Jiwasraya. The company experienced negative financial conditions, one of which was the impact of the wrong investment placement.

"We have a strong investment committee, so power or authority (to place investment) cannot only exist in one person. The Board of Directors is responsible for everything, if we apply an investment decision we must acclamation, only one of the seven directors does not agree, so we drop," said Kosasih at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, October 19.

For your information, Taspen's current investment portfolio consists mostly of State Bonds, State Sharia Bonds, and Deposits at BUMN Bank. The rest are spread over the participation of subsidiaries, corporate bonds, and mutual funds registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

The second strategy, continued Kosasih, is that Taspen is committed to always implementing good corporate governance (GCG) based on the principles of transparency, accountability, accountability according to the direction of the Ministry of SOEs.

"Our procedures, we all obey our rules. Don't let there be rules that are against government regulations and don't let the rules we have made not be fulfilled," he said.

The third strategy, said Kosasih, is that the company is also audited every year by the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK-RI). The goal is to see material findings related to investment and operational management.

"Taspen is highly regulated. We have many regulations from the Ministry of Finance, from the Ministry of SOEs, there are even inputs that we learned from previous BPK findings that we have always followed up on," said Kosasih.
