Muamalat Institute Strengthens Sharia Economics, Supports Dai Muda In East Java Competition 2023

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Tbk. through the Muamalat Institute is committed to strengthening the sharia economy, especially promoting Islamic values in banking. Most recently, Muamalat directed a strategy by supporting the activities of the 2023 Dai Muda East Java (East Java) Competition.

Muamalat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said his institution cares about the capacity of public understanding of Islamic economic and financial principles. A tangible form of that, the Muamalat Institute supports Dai Muda Jatim Competition which was held at the Jatim Internasional Expo.

"We feel that competitions like this are very relevant and important. To produce a young generation with an Islamic perspective to play an important role in maintaining and spreading Islamic values. We are committed to supporting this young Dai competition program in a sustainable manner every year," he said in a written statement, Sunday, October 8.

Anton hopes that through the competition which will take place on October 5, East Java can become the epicenter of the birth of the best young Dai in Indonesia. "In order to increase Islamic financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia," he added.

On the same occasion, Regional CEO of Plt. East Java, Bali & Nusra Bank Muamalat Aufrieda Artsiana Dewi said the competition also invited the people of East Java to change the way they interact with the banking world that is entering digitalization.

"We introduce an online account opening service through mobile banking Muamalat DIN (Digital Islamic Network). Together, we can build a more financially inclusive East Java and advance technologically, in accordance with the values and principles of the Islamic economy," he said.

Aufrida said banking digitization could encourage entrepreneurship, job creation, and financial inclusion. For this reason, his party is committed to continuing to improve digital services by expanding the network and collaborating with local businesses and startups.

On the one hand, said Aufrieda, by providing ongoing support for Dai Muda Jatim Competition, young people are encouraged to be more active in understanding digitalization, Islamic financial principles and contributing to sustainable and ethical economic development in East Java.

With the increasing youth participation in this program every year, Muamalat believes East Java will be the center that produces the best young Dai in Indonesia.

"This will help develop a strong and skilled community in the field of Islamic finance, which can ultimately help improve the quality of life and public awareness of Islamic economic values," he said.
