Bank DKI Wins Best BPD Predicate From The Ministry Of Home Affairs

JAKARTA - Bank DKI was named one of the Best Regional Development Banks (BPD) in 2023 by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) at the Best BUMD Awards 2023 in Jakarta on Friday 29 September.

More specifically, Bank DKI managed to receive an award as Rank II (Two) of the Regional Development Bank Big Category and competed directly with other best BPDs in Indonesia.

Director of Technology & Operations concurrently Assignment (Plt.) President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, who received the award directly, believes that the award received is a valuable appreciation for Bank DKI's efforts and dedication in an active role in increasing the optimization of public services and supporting economic growth in DKI Jakarta.

"The implementation of business strategies and technological innovation is a real step for Bank DKI to provide the best service to the community, and play an active role in advancing the regional economy through the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's work program as the controlling shareholder of Bank DKI," said Amirul.

The form of Bank DKI's support for various programs of the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta, including in the distribution of social assistance, such as the distribution and management of Jakarta Smart Cards, Superior Student Jakarta Cards. Jakarta Elderly Cards, Dasawisma Cards, and Jakarta Worker Cards.

Moreover, through the products and services owned by Bank DKI, it is also trying to provide convenience for people in DKI Jakarta, for example JakCard as a prepaid smart card that can be used as a means of payment on various public transportation modes integrated in Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, to Airport/Railink Trains, access to entrance tickets for a number of museums and tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, to payments for certain toll roads.

In addition, Bank DKI also facilitates tax payments and levies through features in the JakOne Mobile application, as well as motor vehicle taxes with the Samsat Online Delivery (Si-Ondel) application which is also connected to the JakOne Mobile application.

For information, the 2023 BUMD Awards are an appreciation given by the Ministry of Home Affairs to Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) with the best performance, especially roles in improving public services, handling inflation and economic growth.

In his remarks, the Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs, DR. Agus Fatoni said the purpose of holding BUMD Awards by the Ministry of Home Affairs in order to provide an assessment of BUMD, in the form of governance, creating a competitive climate between BUMDs, providing motivation to local governments in providing guidance to BUMD.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi believes that the award received will also be an additional boost for Bank DKI in carrying out its duties as a BPD that supports Jakarta's development as a competitive and sustainable economic center.
