President Director Of ASDP Confesses: Developing Bakauheni Harbor City Needs IDR 4.5 Trillion Funds

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry estimates that funds will need around IDR 4.5 trillion for the development of the entire Bakauheni Harbour City area, in the South Lampung region.

ASDP President Director Ira Puspadewi said the development of the Bakauheni Harbour City concept itself took about 20 to 25 years.

"Approximately more than a master plan of IDR 4.5 trillion, if the city talks about waking up, it's decades," he said at the ASDP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 27.

Furthermore, Ira said, ASDP plays a role in providing land for the development of Bakauheni Harbor City.

ASDP also invested initially by building a mosque together with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI).

In future development, said Ira, his party is also targeting strategic partners.

So that the need for funds in the development of Bakauheni Harbor City is not fully borne by ASDP.

"In the long term, we are looking for a strategic partner and that's an expert in building it," he explained.

Previously, it was reported that the development of the Bakauheni Harbor City integrated area was divided into three stages.

Phase I, period 2022-2025, is divided into Phase IA with a development area of 41.9 hectares (ha).

At this stage, BHC focuses on development which is a priority for national strategic projects (PSN).

Such as the development of the main function of supporting port activists, namely the construction of theme parks, hotels, commercial MSMEs and tourism polytechnics.

Phase IB in the period 2026-2030, covers an area of 22.8 ha.

This stage is a continuation of the development of the PSN priority area with a focus in the form of hotel development in District 3 and commercial support.

Then, Phase II for the period 2031-2040 covering an area of 64 ha. The focus of development at this stage is to improve Bakauheni Harbour City services as an independent city.

Phase II development is carried out in District 2 and District 3 with the aim of expanding Bakauheni Harbor City services as integrated port city areas.

The final stage or Phase III in the period 2041-2061 with an area of 31.2 ha as sustainability and diversification of development.

At this stage, the focus of development is to provide diversity and development that has been carried out with hotel, contingent/viratel options and tourist attractions.
