Support MSMEs Go Digital, Bank Mandiri Signs Cooperation With FishLog

JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri continues to encourage MSME credit growth through digital services that are easily accessible to the public. This is done as part of Bank Mandiri's commitment to support Indonesia's economic growth, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) segment.

To make this happen, Bank Mandiri is working with the fisheries startup PT Chain Supply Technology (FishLog). Meanwhile, the cooperation was signed by SVP SME Banking Banking Bank Mandiri Alexander Dippo and President Director of Fishlog Bayu Mukti Anggara in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 20.

Dippo said, through this collaboration, his party hopes to expand access to financing the MSME sector and accelerate financial inclusion and the digital ecosystem between business actors. According to him, collaboration with FishLog can expand the MSME lending market and contribute to increasing the growth of MSME loans in the country, especially in the fisheries industry sector.

"Through cooperation with FishLog, Bank Mandiri will increase access to financing for MSME players in the fishery industry sector, both bankable and unreachable by conventional banks and has an adequate business scale, which is a Partner of FishLog," said Dippo.

He added that his party targets to be able to channel credit through the FishLog platform amounting to Rp50 billion and does not rule out the possibility that it will continue to grow along with the development of cooperation between the two companies. Meanwhile, until the end of August 2023, the total digital distribution of Bank Mandiri MSME loans has reached Rp973.2 billion (year to date/YtD) to more than 115 thousand debtors.

This achievement, continued Dippo, is part of Bank Mandiri's move to strengthen lending through collaboration with various digital companies and Fintech P2P Lending in the country. As a result, until August 2023, Bank Mandiri's total lending through collaboration with digital companies and Fintech P2P Lending has reached Rp 3.09 trillion to more than 227 thousand debtors.
