August 2023, BTN Credit Increases Almost Double Digit

JAKARTA - Ending the eighth month of this year, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) recorded an increase in credit and financing positions of around 9.9 percent on an annual basis.

In the monthly financial report in August 2023, Bank BTN quoted on Friday, September 15, Bank BTN's credit and financing position is around Rp314.2 trillion as of August 2023. This position grew 9.9 percent year-on-year (yoy) from Rp286.1 trillion in August 2022.

Previously, President Director of Bank BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu said the company was aiming for credit growth at the level of around 10 percent yoy. This growth, continued Nixon, will be supported by subsidized mortgages (House Ownership Credit), non-Subsidized mortgages, and high yield loans.

"With macro indicators getting more conducive, the economic condition and national banking will also improve because they are also encouraged by several stimuli," Nixon said recently.

Meanwhile, positive growth in credit at the issuer codenamed BBTN was observed to be supported by active mass contract activities. In the second half of this year, Bank BTN was also recorded to have held a mass mortgage contract of 10,000 units simultaneously throughout Indonesia. The mass contract event is a commitment of Bank BTN in supporting President Joko Widodo's Government in realizing the One Million Houses Program.

The mass mortgage contract was also focused on Bank BTN in residential areas close to public transportation facilities. For example, the mass mortgage contract in August 2023 was held at Puri Delta Tigaraksa Housing which is close to Tigaraksa Station and Tenjo Station.

"Puri Delta Tigaraksa's housing is in accordance with the TOD concept [Transit Oriented Development], because it is rare with near stations and makes it easier to mobilize employees who work in Jakarta," said Nixon.
