SPAM Jatiluhur I I Is Targeted To Operate In October 2024

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR targets the Regional Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) for Jatiluhur I to operate starting October 2024.

"SPAM Jatiluhur 1 has been running. Yesterday I asked that in October 2024 the commercial operation date (COD) was able," said Director General of Human Settlements Diana Kusumastuti in Jakarta, quoted Thursday, September 7.

Diana said that the construction of the Jatiluhur I SPAM is currently underway. This SPAM has two Water Processing Installations (IPA) located in Cibeet and Bekasi, West Java.

The progress of IPA's work in Cibeet has reached around 70 percent and for the progress of IPA in Bekasi, West Java, it has reached 20-30 percent.

"Hopefully 2024 can connect everything," he said.

For your information, the Jatiluhur I Regional SPAM is a Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) project for drinking water infrastructure, where the Jatiluhur I Regional SPAM provides 4,750 liters of drinking water per second, which is distributed to around 380,000 house connections (SR) or about 1.9 million people in DKI Jakarta and West Java Provinces, namely Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, and Karawang Regency.

The scope of construction activities includes the construction of intake, transmission pipelines, water treatment installations (IPA), and the main development network.

This SPAM utilizes raw water from the Jatiluhur Dam in West Java Province which is channeled through the West Tarum Channel.
