JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that it has contracted 391 packages out of a total of 599 regional road handling packages in 2023.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that procurement for phase 1 in 2023 amounted to IDR 14.64 trillion or 599 packages consisting of 437 physical packages worth IDR 14.29 trillion and 162 monitoring packages with a value of IDR 350 billion.

"There are 391 contracted packages worth IDR 9.194 trillion with physical progress of 2.85 percent and financial progress of 9.32 percent," said Basuki at the Joint Working Meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 30.

Basuki said that the fulfillment of the budget allocation for implementing the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads Phase 1 in 2023 was IDR 14.64 trillion.

"Regarding the Presidential Instruction on regional roads in 2023, it has been approved by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas amounting to IDR 14.64 trillion for handling 2,873 kilometers (km) of roads and 2,362 meters of bridges in 32 provinces," he said.

Handling of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads Phase 1 includes handling of regional roads in 32 provinces (apart from DKI Jakarta and Central Kalimantan Province) and 235 districts/cities.

For regional road handling, Phase 1, consists of Phase 1A with an allocation of IDR 7.44 trillion for handling 1,638.19 km of roads and handling 278.4 m of bridges.

Meanwhile, for regional road handling Phase 1B, the allocation is IDR 7.20 trillion for handling 1,234.89 km of roads and handling 2,084 m of bridges.
