JAKARTA - The ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE) and the ASEAN-China Clean Energy Cooperation Center (ACCECC) of the Managing Agency are working together to increase clean energy cooperation between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the People of the Republic of China.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Nuki Agya Utama, Executive Director of ACE with Liang Yuteng, Deputy Director General of the Chinese Hainan Development and Reform Commission and Dr Li Sheng, Director General of China's Institute of Renewable Energy Engineering on behalf of the ACCECC Implementing Agency on August 25, 2023, at the 41st ASEAN Minister of Energy Meeting (AMEM-41) held in Bali, Indonesia, to coincide with the 2023 ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF).
Dr. Nuki Agya Utama, Executive Director of ACE, expressed his optimism for this collaboration.
"This strategic partnership between ACE and the ACCECC Affairs Managing Agency is a significant step forward in our joint mission to accelerate the development of clean energy. By utilizing our expertise and resources, we are ready to have a meaningful impact on the energy landscape in the ASEAN and China region," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, August 29.
