Regarding The Discourse Of Pertamax As Subsidized Fuel To Replace Pertalite, This Is What The Staff Of The Minister Of SOEs Said

JAKARTA - Special Staff (Staffsus) of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga raised his voice regarding the discourse of Pertamax being subsidized fuel oil (BBM) to replace Pertalite.

He said the policy regarding this was in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The Ministry of SOEs together with PT Pertamina (Persero) as the operator is only carrying out the assignments given by the government.

"That's a policy, not us. The permanent policy is from ESDM, right. If we just implement it. Which one can do it," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 29.

Although this proposal has been sticking out since last week, Arya admitted that there has been no discussion between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources regarding the Pertamax renacan to become subsidized fuel.

Previously, it was reported that the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif opened his voice about the government's discourse to provide subsidies for Pertamax type of fuel oil (BBM).

"There is no discourse!," said Arifin to the media, Monday, August 28.

Arifin explained that his presence at the Presidential Palace was to attend a limited meeting to discuss air pollution in Jakarta with several relevant ministries.

He added that during the meeting there was no discussion about subsidies for Pertalite.

"There is no discussion about Pertamax subsidies. Has it been said, Pertamax is really subsidized? No, right," said Arifin.
