Operating At The End Of August, Here's How To Ride The Jabodebek LRT

JAKARTA - The Jabodebek LRT is planned to operate at the end of August 2023. Later there will be 434 trips that are ready to serve passengers every day. Where the capacity of a series of Jabodebek LRT can accommodate up to 1,308 passengers.

EVP of Corporate Secretary KAI Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji said a total of 31 trainsets or train series were prepared.

The details for operational purposes are 27 trainsets, and as many as 4 trainsets will be used as reserves. Each Jabodebek LRT trainset consists of 6 trains.

"Later on when it is fully operational, the operational time of the Jabodebek LRT will start at 05.00 WIB to 23.30 WIB," he said in an official statement, Friday, August 25.

Agus said that during full operation there were two travel lines, namely the Cibubur Line which passed Dukuh Atas-Cawang Station-Harjamukti pp Station and Bekasi Line which passed Dukuh Atas-Cawang Station-Halim- Jatimulya Station pp.

How To Ride The Jabodebek LRT

Agus said the public could use the Jabodebek LRT mass transportation at 18 stations connecting the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek) areas.

The stations are Dukuh Atas, Setiabudi, Rasuna Said, Kuningan, Pancoran, Cikoko, Ciliwung, Cawang, TMII, Kampung Rambutan, Ciracas, Harjamukti, Halim, Jatibening Baru, Cikunir I, Cikunir II, West Bekasi, and Jati Mulya.

"People can use the Jabodebek LRT easily, with payments using cashless systems such as using Banking Electronic Money Cards (BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, BTN, BCA, and Bank DKI Jakarta), KMT KAI Commuter, Scan Qris Link Aja and KAI PAY," he said.

Agus Dwinanto added, for people who run out of balance or have not brought an electronic money card, the Jabodebek LRT provides two Ticket Vending Machine units for top up electronic money cards and counters for selling electronic money cards at each station.

After having an electronic money card or digital wallet, Agus said. customers can go to the gate to perform Tap In at the departure station. Kamudi, after successfully tap in, customers can go to the platform that suits their travel destination.

"When the train arrives, enter the train in an orderly manner and prioritize passengers who get off," he said.

Upon arrival at the destination station, customers can tap out the electronic money card or digital wallet at the gate available, then the electronic money card balance or digital wallet is automatically cut.

For tapping services on the Jabodebek LRT, KAI has installed 14 Turnstile-type gates and 2 Wide-type gates for disabled customers at each station. Especially at Halim Station, KAI uses a Flip-type gate to make it easier for customers who will or have used the plane.

"The Jabodebek LRT Station is connected to other transportation such as Commuterline, MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, Microtrans, Jakarta Bandung high-speed train, Trans Patriot, city transportation, and private public transportation," said Agus.
