JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri is increasingly pushing for digital transactions abroad through Super App Livin' by Mandiri to accelerate the financial inclusion of the people in Indonesia. The Livin' Around The World feature was introduced in three countries, namely Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.
This promotion was carried out to coincide with the commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day in the three countries. This event was attended by tens of thousands of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in the three countries.
Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi explained that with the service titled Livin' Around the World, all diaspora including PMI can practically open a direct account through Livin' by Mandiri.
This service also allows PMI abroad to have a Bank Mandiri account using only e-KTP and cellphone numbers in their respective countries.
Darmawan said that not only for financial needs, Livin' by Mandiri can also serve customers' investment needs such as plans savings features, deposits to the purchase of Mutual Funds and Retail Securities (SBR) in Livin'.
"Including meeting other lifestyle needs such as purchasing plane tickets from and abroad, even the need for loans in the country through the Livin' Sukha feature," Darmawan explained in an official statement, Sunday, August 20.
The promotions offered at the People's Party event in Taiwanese, Singapore and Malaysia include from rewards to Rp. 500,000 for opening new accounts through Livin', and activation of Livin' for existing Bank Mandiri customers of Rp. 300,000. Also available, direct cashback if you purchase plane tickets through the Livin' Sukha feature of up to Rp. 500,000.
In the event which was held simultaneously in these three countries, Bank Mandiri also introduced a foreign exchange transfer feature in Livin' by Mandiri to make it easier for PMI to send money from abroad to the country or vice versa. The reason is, the features launched earlier this year have also become one of the most widely used services for customers abroad.
It was recorded that from February 15 to August 10, 2023, the number of foreign exchange transfers through Livin' by Mandiri had reached IDR 37.2 billion and more than 20,000 active users, with the upward trend. Not only that, as an effort to pamper customers, Bank Mandiri presents the opening feature of Valas Accounts with 10 foreign currency options.
Starting from the US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Singapore Dollar (SGD), Pounding (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD), Swiss Franc (CHF), Japanese Yen (JPY), Ringgit Malaysia (MYR), Dollar Hong Kong (HKD) and Baht Thailand (THB).
"With this innovation, Bank Mandiri makes it easier for customers to more comfortable to transfer abroad according to their needs quickly, cheaply, completely and easily without having to change applications," explained Darmawan.
On the same occasion, Bank Mandiri also strengthened collaboration with various parties to provide added value and financial management solutions to the Indonesian Diaspora community abroad.
