JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono inspected the rehabilitation progress of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) located at GBK, Jakarta, on Friday, August 11.

Minister Basuki targets the rehabilitation work to be completed this August. "Hopefully, on August 25, 2023, everything will be completed and we can see the results," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, on Saturday, August 12.

The JCC rehabilitation is being carried out by the Jakarta Metro Regional Settlement Infrastructure Agency (BPPW), the Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR since June 12, 2023 with a period of 105 days or completion on August 25, 2023.

The cost of handling the JCC is sourced from the APBN worth Rp. 115.88 billion with construction progress until August 11, 2023, which has reached 68.1 percent.

JCC rehabilitation work consists of 4 Zones, namely Zone 1 (Lower Ground) including the architectural work of the Kasuari Lounge, Merak Room, Nuri Room, Maleo Room, Kenari Room, Kakatua Room, Lower Lobby Pre Function, Summit Room, Summit Lounge, walkway (to Sultan Hotel), prayer room, and toilet with progress reaching 62 percent.

Zone 2 (Ground Floor) consists of the architectural work of Assembly Hall, Main Lobby, Cendrawasih Hall and Corridor, Pre Function Hall A, as well as VIP Room and toilet (Cendrawasih) with a progress of 65 percent. Meanwhile, Zone 3 (Ground) consists of plenary handling of halls and corridors, as well as a presidential area with a progress of 58 percent.

Finally, Zone 4 (Ground) in the form of canopy installations, drop off arrangement, front gardens, side parks, toilets, and outdoor prayer rooms with a progress of 76.5 percent.

On the same occasion, the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti, said that JCC rehabilitation has a main design concept by adopting elements of Indonesian culture that can reflect the character and identity of the Indonesian nation.
