JAKARTA - The Jakarta Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) failed to become a gift for the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The reason is, the free trial is limited to the general public, which was originally to open in August and back to September.

General Manager of Corporate Secretary of the Indonesia-China High Speed Train (KCIC) Eva Chairunisa confirmed that the KCJB limited free trial was canceled on August 18, 2023.

"According to government directives, the plan for pre-operational trials will take place starting in early September 2023. At that time, people can try the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train connection without being charged," he told reporters, in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 8.

Furthermore, Eva explained that the delay in the limited free trial schedule was to ensure that the trial program during the pre-operation of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train can run well.

As the first mode of fast train transportation in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia, Eva continued, the operation of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train requires very careful preparation.

"Currently, PT KCIC continues to make preparations on various sides," he said.

Eva explained that all aspects will be well prepared and prioritize the safety and comfort of Fast Train customers. The trials of facilities and infrastructure have been carried out and run smoothly.

"Currently KCIC also continues to ensure that all operational support equipment can run well later when operated," he explained.

In parallel, said Eva, KCIC also certifies the facilities and infrastructure of the Fast Train with the Ministry of Transportation. KCIC fully follows these stages by preparing various data and information needed in the context of the smooth certification process.

All readiness, both operational and station facilities, continues to prepare, one of which is related to the station. Later, when the station starts serving passengers, it is certain that the available access will be ready for use," he said.

During the free trial period, KCIC will involve various stakeholders, especially the community around the Fast Train route. The involvement of residents around the Fast Train route is a form of KCIC appreciation for the participation and support of the community around the Fast Train route so that the fast train development process can run smoothly.
