List Of 21 Certified Electric Motor Conversion Workshops

BALI - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will increase the number of motor conversion workshops.

Head of the Center for Electricity Survey and Testing, New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (BBSP KEBTKE) Senda Hurmuzan Kanam explained, the most important thing in the future in the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem is to prepare conversion workshops, which currently have reached 24 workshops.

"We are trying to continue to increase to 100 or 1,000 workshops next year," said Senda to the media in the Socialization of Electric Motor Conversion in Bali, quoted Monday, July 31.

For the Bali area, continued Senda, the government is preparing three new conversion workshops from the previous one, which only amounts to one workshop.

Later, these three workshops will enter a digital platform as a certified workshop by the Ministry of Transportation.

"If the workshop has been prepared with training and after the trial results of the conversion are received by the Ministry of Transportation, they will be registered and every conversion process will be given a government subsidy of Rp. 7 million," explained Senda.

Just so you know, to support the improvement of the conversion workshop, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has conducted a Construction Workshop Technical Training (Montir) which was held in 3 cities, namely in Purbalingga (20-24 May 2023), Denpasar (15-19 June 2023), and Surabaya (24-28 July 2023).

Training participants in each city are 20 people.

There are currently only 21 electric motorcycle conversion workshops in Indonesia that have been deployed in 14 cities.
