Book Positive Performance, ASDP Deposits IDR 101 Billion Dividend To The State

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) will deposit dividends to the state of around Rp. 101 billion or 18 percent of the company's profit in 2022 of Rp. 585 billion.

ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin said in his statement in Jakarta on Sunday that the general meeting of shareholders (GMS) which was held on Monday (26/6) was ratified that ASDP would deposit the company's dividend of around Rp. 101 billion.

"The handover of this dividend is a form of our commitment to continue to contribute to the country, especially encouraging people's programs for the progress and welfare of the Indonesian people," Shelvy said, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 2.

He said that ASDP management succeeded in making operational and financial breakthroughs after the COVID-19 pandemic so that in 2022 it again posted a positive performance by scoring the highest net profit in the entire standing history, which was IDR 585 billion.

Shelvy said there were two main factors that contributed to this achievement. First, from an external perspective, namely the impact of easing the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) carried out by the government.

Therefore, during 2022, especially the period of Eid and Christmas New Year 2022 transportation services, the movement of passengers and vehicles has returned to normal and continues to show an increase.

In addition, the easing of the movement of vehicles and passengers after the COVID-19 pandemic has been strengthened by the government's revocation of PPKM on December 30, 2022, so that people are more flexible in traveling.

Second, internal factors, including by improving operations and improving business processes that are more effective and efficient, including digitizing ticketing across ASDP ports.

Based on the ASDP 2022 audited consolidated performance report from January to December 2022, it recorded revenue of IDR 4.381 trillion and net profit of IDR 585 billion.

"The 2022 revenue has exceeded the total revenue in normal conditions before COVID-19 in 2019 of IDR 3.328 trillion and increased 23.4 percent compared to the 2021 realization of IDR 3.550 trillion. Meanwhile, for net profit, it reached 220.8 percent of the target and grew 79.4 percent of profit in 2021 of IDR 326 billion," said Shelvy.

ASDP also noted that positive performance achievements in 2022 contributed to crossing performance, both pioneer and commercial production, namely passenger production reaching 7.6 million people, an increase of 66 percent compared to the realization of 2021 of 4.6 million people, then two and three-wheeled vehicles as many as 4.1 million units or 66 percent of the realization of 2.5 million units.

Then, four-wheeled vehicles reached 4.4 million units or an increase of 48 percent compared to the realization of 2021 of 2.9 million units, and goods reached 1.3 million tons or -47 percent when compared to the realization in 2021 of 2.4 million tons.

"The increase in passenger production of ferry ships is inseparable from the transformation, including digitization of services that are continuously run by the company. ASDP has served 7.6 million or an increase of 73 percent from 4.4 million passengers in 2021," he said.

Shelvy revealed that the increase in the number of passengers was also due to the availability of infrastructure and facilities in the form of adequate ships, piers, and ports as well as superior human resources (HR) and always trying to provide the best service to service users.

In addition, positive performance is also supported by a cost control program through efficiency measures shown by operating ratios 66.89 percent lower than 2021 of 72.05 percent.

Furthermore, the ratio of operational costs to operating income (BOPO) in 2022 is 86.06 percent lower than in 2021 at 91.51 percent. This shows that the company has succeeded in increasing its efficiency with financial control of the realization of the cost of principal and operating expenses.
