JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed seven of the eight dams in East Java Province that are programmed for construction from 2015 to 2024.
One of the dams still under construction is the Bagong Dam in Trenggalek Regency with a capacity of 17.40 million m3 for the development and improvement of the 857 Ha Irrigation Area (DI) in Trenggalek.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said dam construction was followed by the construction of his irrigation network. The Bagong Dam itself is located in Sumurup Village and Sengon which is about 10 km from the city center of Trenggalek Regency. The source of the dam water comes from the Bagong River with a watershed area of 39.95 Km2.

Furthermore, Package II is carried out by contractor PT PP-PT Jatiwangi (KSO) including preparation, OP road access, defector building, delegation building, taker building, hydromechanicals, and facility building.
