Highlighting Weak Supervision Of Government Programs, Jokowi: Watched Only Still Bablas

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) highlighted the weakness of supervision in government programs. He acknowledged the government's weakness in terms of supervision. Therefore, he asked everyone to be careful.

"We are weak on that side, if we are not monitored if we don't check directly. If we don't look at it, look at it one by one. Be careful, we are weak there. Watched, we go down, that's all, there are still babaklas ones. Moreover, no," he said at the 2023 Internal Insight Coordination Meeting (Wasin) at the BPKP Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 14.

Because of this, Jokowi admitted that he often went to the field to supervise. Because, he said he wanted to make sure that the government's program could be felt directly.

"Why am I also checking in the field going down, I want to make sure what we are programing reaches the people, to the community," he said.

Jokowi also emphasized the importance of supervision in government programs. This is because supervision is an important point in realizing Indonesia Gold 2045.

"Once again, to realize the 2045 Golden Indonesia is not easy, this is where the importance of the supervisory role is. The role of supervision is very, very important," he said.

On the other hand, Jokowi also appreciated the performance of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in maintaining government governance.

"I would like to thank BPKP for working hard to maintain governance so that it can be effective, efficient, and currently the government is focusing on increasing productivity, especially towards Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.
