To Support Formula E 2023, PLN Is Ready To Supply Electricity Without Flickering

JAKARTA - PLN Jakarta Raya Main Distribution Unit (UID) is ready to supply electricity without flickering for the international Formula E Jakarta 2023 event. Previously, a simulation of electric power distribution had also been carried out.

The international electric car racing event is planned to be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta from 3 to 4 June 2023.

PLN UID Jakarta Raya General Manager Doddy B. Pangaribuan said that the total electric power supplied by PLN in this prestigious car race was 3,876 KVA. Main monitoring of layered electricity supply for the President Suite, Podium, Royal Suite, and Deluxe Suite.

"We are ready to support this international electric car racing event with a reliable, layered, and environmentally friendly electricity supply," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 30.

Doddy said that Jakarta's electricity is supplied by six subsystems with a total capacity of 8,848 MW. Under these conditions, it is ensured that the electricity supply can meet the needs of events in Jakarta, such as sports matches, concerts, and other state activities.

"We are ready to support national and international scale events with sufficient electricity and without flickering," he said.

PLN UID Jakarta Raya has prepared 52 standby personnel to maintain the reliability of the electricity supply during Formula E. Apart from personnel, in terms of technical reliability PLN has also prepared 3 Mobile Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) of 500 kVA each.

Then, 3 units of Mobile Substation Units (UGB) each 1000 kVA, 2 units of UGB each 630 kVA, and 1 unit of UGB 400 kVA. For the mobilization of officers, PLN has also prepared 3 units of electric motorbikes.
