Hutama Karya Wins New Contract, Builds Coordinating Ministry For The Economy Building At IKN

PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has won a new contract, namely the Construction of Buildings and Office Areas of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) 2 (Economic Midfield) in the Archipelago Capital (IKN) Nusantara worth IDR 776 billion.

"The main work on this project consists of two parts, namely buildings and regional arrangement," said Director of Operations II Hutama Karya Gunadi in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 27.

Gunadi detailed that the main scope of work for buildings includes preliminary work, architecture, interior, structure, building mechanics, electrical buildings, building plumbing, assessment of green buildings and implementation of smart building.

"The main scope of work for regional arrangement includes geotechnical work in the region, work in 2 retention ponds, landscapes, roads, second walkway bridges, multiutility tunnel areas, regional water resource infrastructure, regional mechanics, regional electrical and plumbing areas," he said.

In addition, he continued, there is also a special work on the project in Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan.

The special work in question is in the form of deptering which is useful in preventing the buildup of sediments, and the work of strengthening slopes that are useful for protecting the surface layer of the slope against the influence of erosion, increasing slope stability, and adding aesthetics.

This project consists of five buildings and structural work will begin in July 2023. We are targeting completion in August 2024," said Gunadi.

The building construction project and the area of the Kemenko 2 Office is one of the total four auction packages for building construction and the area of the Coordinating Ministry.

"Even though it is contractually completed in October 2024, citing President Jokowi's mandate, it is hoped that August 2024 will be able to carry out a ceremony at the State Palace Field," said Gunadi.

According to him, this field is still in the same complex as the building construction project and the Kemenko 2 office area.

"So, this project is one of the last packages declared to have finished the tender. Hutama Karya is committed to completing it on time and on quality," said Gunadi.

The location of the coordinating ministry area itself will be in the government district, precisely in the SUB-BWP 1A government zone.

This area is a strategic location because it is at odds with the Presidential Palace and is located between the National Axis of the National Zone of the Coordinating Ministry, which consists of four fields flanking the National Aquaculture in the Plaza Seremoni area.

His position is right under the Presidential Palace area with the aim of facilitating coordination and being a landmark point from the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN.

The orientation of the building strengthens the axis towards the Presidential Palace along the National Axis, especially forming a positive space between Plaza Ceremonies.

The Presidential Palace, as the layout and visual point in the area complex of the Coordinating Ministry and Plaza Ceremony, has become a unifying of green open spaces limited by flag hills on the south side.

"All components of the building and the environment are integrated and interrelated, strengthening spatial spaces and public open spaces," said Gunadi.

IKN Nusantara, which will become the new capital city of Indonesia, carries the forest city concept, which is to make cities side by side with nature.
