JAKARTA PT Angkasa Pura I stated its readiness to serve flights for Hajj Pilgrims' Air Transport in 2023.

Angkasa Pura I has prepared six airports that are embarkation and debarkation airports.

The six airports in question are Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo, Juanda Airport Surabaya, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, SAMS Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan, Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin, and Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport Lombok.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said the implementation of the 2023 Hajj Congregation Air Transport embarkation at Angkasa Pura I airport will start from May 24 to June 22, 2023, and the implementation of the debarkation will start from July 4 to August 3, 2023.

It is planned that 102,696 prospective Hajj pilgrims will be served in 2023, or experience growth of 119 percent compared to 2022 which reached 46,881 prospective Hajj pilgrims.

Based on the provisions of the Director of Domestic Hajj Services, Angkasa Pura I will serve as many as 269 groups.

In detail, Solo's Adi Soemarmo Airport serves 95 groups, and Surabaya Juanda Airport serves 84 groups.

Then, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar serves 41 groups, SAMS Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan serves 20 groups, Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin serves 17 groups, and Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport Lombok serves 12 groups.

Faik said Angkasa Pura I prepared 1,690 operational personnel consisting of Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel, airport security (Avsec), and operational personnel on duty in the air side area.

Of the total 1,690 personnel, 127 Avsec personnel will be tasked specifically to carry out inspections of luggage and prospective Hajj pilgrims at the Hajj Dormitory.

The security check process, which is located in the Hajj Dormitory, is aimed at smoothing and accuracy of the departure process for prospective Hajj pilgrims.
